Mitchell is one of our Junior Program Coaches/Coordinators, and Digital Media Marketer. He graduated from Laurentian University’s concurrent education program with a Bachelors of Arts, Majoring in History/Geography while also getting his Teaching Degree. He realized his love for golf at a young age while swinging clubs in his grandfathers hitting net every weekend while he visited. As a junior golfer growing up he was involved in many different golf camps and programs until he grew within this passion. Mitchell ended up surrounding himself with golf by working at King Valley Golf Club in King City. He worked in the back shop eventually becoming the Back Shop Manager. He then carried on to work for The Golf Lab at King Valley running their junior programs over the summer while also running their Golf in Schools Program with the CJGA over the winters. He also ran their digital media platforms while filming golf instructional and promotional videos. Mitchell was formerly the Assistant Golf Coach of the York University Lions Men’s Golf Team.
Mitchell loves to mix and embrace both his passion for teaching and golf together. His teaching style involves helping his students better understand the golf swing through cause and effect. While also focusing on developing his students as multi-sport athletes to hone in on important physical capabilities golf skills in different innovative ways. He focuses on keeping golf competitive yet still making it fun for his students.
