“I am strong. I am a woman. I lift heavy, I chalk my hands and I can keep up with any man. I am driven, I am confident and I will not slow down for anyone”.
Alessandra is the Founder and Director of Bella Body Fitness, she has B.A. with Honours in Kinesiology & Health Sciences, she is a Certified Personal Training Specialist, Group Fitness Instructor & Nutrition Coach.
To Alessandra, fitness is empowering. It is more than just physical conditioning; it is also mental. It is a true testament to the fact that you are capable of achieving anything you set your mind to. She believes that everyBODY is capable of achieving their goals, it simply comes down to how badly you want it. Alessandra demonstrates that hard work, patience, consistency and self belief goes a long way. From a young age she was committed to helping people. She enjoyed assuming leadership roles and influencing others. She graduated high school determined to become a Physical Education teacher. But, while completing her Kinesiology degree at York University, Alessandra became captivated by courses that examined gender in sport and society.
Upon learning of such gender roles and inequalities, Alessandra found a strong calling to utilize her passion for fitness as an outlet to challenge stereotypes and empower women. Opening Bella Body Fitness allowed her to do just that. To her and her members, Bella Body Fitness is more than just a workout; it’s a passion, a lifestyle, a second family, an army.
